Greater Vancouver Branch of the Navy League of Canada is a registered not-for-profit organization that raises funds of both Captain Rankin Navy League Cadets and Captain Vancouver Sea Cadets. We require all parents (Sea Cadets and Navy League Cadets) to become a full participant of this effort to raise funds and provide a better cadet experience for your child. This includes becoming a member of the Greater Vancouver Branch of the Navy League of Canada. Our annual membership donation fee is currently $120.00 per family.
An income tax receipt will be issued for the membership donation.
The membership helps raises funds to supports the programs that is offered by our two cadets corps, including:
- Uniforms items
- Weekend training and camping trips
- Maintenance, insurance, and operations (fuel, etc.) of boats that allow the programs to offer sailing and water activities for the cadets
- Certification programs, including the Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) and Radio Operators Certificate (ROC)
- Sea Perch Underwater Robotics program
We are also dependent on parents volunteers to help support the events and programs offered by the corps, such as fundraising, photography, boat maintenance, and administrative support.
